Students will learn about Mount Rushmore, as well as the four Presidents depicted.

Students will use the vocabulary in a guided dialogue.

Activity

Mount Rushmore activity- Students will be asked to create their own Mount Rushmore. Working with partners, students will decide whose face to put on a mountain top. They will need to have two reasons to support their nomination.

Assessment

Students will share their Mount Rushmore additions using a guided sentence. The teacher can illustrate or write down the nominations and reasons on the chalkboard to keep track of student additions.
